About the Role:
Chesapeake Custom Print and Ship is a local, family-owned print and shipping store serving our community with printing, packing, and custom gifts. We pride ourselves on friendly service and attention to detail, helping customers with everything from quick copy jobs to carefully packed shipments and beautifully printed designs. We’re looking for a motivated and reliable team member to join our front counter team as a Print & Ship Associate, assisting customers in-store and by phone, handling shipping and printing orders, and supporting our design and packing teams in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
Compensation & Schedule
- $18-$20/hr
- 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday
- 9:00am-1:00pm, every other Saturday
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist customers at the retail counter
- Process customer transactions for retail, shipping, mail, and printing services
- Answer phone calls and respond to print order emails
- Prepare packages for shipment (UPS, FedEx, DHL, USPS)
- Assist the Director of Custom Print with custom printing projects
- Assist the Assistant Manager with packing and shipping projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Lift packages and materials up to 75 lbs
- Stand for most of the workday
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in shipping, printing, or retail preferred
- Friendly and professional customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Basic computer skills (email, file handling, printing)
- Comfortable learning new software and print/shipping systems
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to be on your feet for extended periods
